We drove on the long country road past open fields and little farm houses on our way to her Pawpaw’s (that’s grandpa for those not from the south) house where we would be shooting for the day. I knew we must be there when we turned on a street of their own namesake, and I heard the low rumble of a classic car engine – her PawPaw was just finishing moving the final car perfectly into place next to the others on the lawn.
He greeted us warmly and excitedly showed us the 5 cars he had pulled out for us to shoot with – he has such an amazing collection we had to pick just 5, but I hope one day I will be able to shoot with some of the other wonderful cars he has. They graciously welcomed us into their home and after some chitchat and a glass of sweet tea Leanna and I were ready to get started. Leanna is someone I’ve been inspired by for a while now, she is not only passionate about the arts, specifically dancing and modeling, but she is also just an all-around wonderful person and a real pleasure to work with. When we were finally in the same state I jumped at the opportunity to work with her.
I loved the warm & sunny tangerine color of the truck. You definitely wouldn’t miss this pickup if you saw it on the road … especially with the stunning Leanna behind the wheel.
I LOVED this little detail on the back hach – a picture of the original owners. You can definitely tell there’s been a lot of fond memories in these cars.
Leanna was such a pleasure to work with! She constantly has great ideas & definitely isn’t afraid to get creative.
This one may be my favorite from our shoot. I love the retro glamour feel and I think Leanna looks stunning!
